Data Collection

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation 2016): In brief, Celebrating You (Paula McDonnell) is required to take personal information from you to carry out her role. The information that may be required includes: –

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Date of birth and death (where appropriate)
  • Life information

Information is kept on a password protected computer owned by Paula McDonnell. I will not share your Data with any other parties without your express consent.

Data retention

Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, I will only hold your Data on my computer for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in the contract or until you request that the Data be deleted. Even if I delete your Data, it may persist on backup or archival media for legal, tax or regulatory purposes.

Contract

A legal agreement setting out terms and conditions will be sent to clients, where required, for their signature. This explains obligations of all parties including timeframes and payment terms. Failure to sign and return these terms and conditions after booking and paying the booking fee securing our services, does not waiver the clients’ obligations under the terms and conditions.

Penalties

At the start of an agreement, I will outline the times to provide information to me. Should the client not provide the necessary information to me at the agreed time, this may negatively impact on my services and prevent me from being able to deliver the expected result, and therefore I will not be held responsible.

Payment – Funeral

I am usually booked and paid directly by the Funeral Director. However, if there is no Funeral Director involved, then the invoice will be sent to the client, payable on or before the due date.

Payment – Ceremonies

An invoice is sent to clients in line with the payment terms as detailed within the Contract.

Price Increases

I reserve the right to change prices at any time. All pricing information is reviewed and may be yearly updated.
